Neattuck, a laundry share app similar to Uber, connects users with washers to optimize the laundry process. The app needed an effective UX/UI design to ensure both ease of use and efficient functionality for both the user and the washer. The goal was to create an engaging, user-friendly app that would enhance the experience by improving interactivity, streamlining navigation, and conveying a sense of efficiency.

As a pivotal contributor to the development of the app, I was tasked with leading the UX/UI design, which included ensuring the screens were optimized for both the user’s and washer’s experience. Additionally, I was responsible for creating graphics that reflected the app's goals of engagement and efficiency, while ensuring the app’s animations were optimized for smooth integration with the development process.

I began by researching and analyzing user flows for both the user and washer to identify the best possible structure and interactions within the app. I focused on designing screens that were intuitive, allowing users to easily track their laundry process, and enabling washers to efficiently manage and process laundry requests. I also ensured the app was optimized for speed and accessibility.

For the interactive elements, I carefully designed animations that provided a dynamic experience while ensuring they didn’t impact performance. One key challenge was ensuring the animations were not only visually engaging but also optimized for the development team. These animations had to be rendered out as code for smooth integration without slowing down the app’s performance. I worked closely with the developers to ensure the animations were lightweight, smooth, and enhanced user engagement without compromising the app’s speed and usability.

Finally, I created visual assets and graphics that communicated the core values of the app—efficiency, engagement, and simplicity. These visuals were designed to be appealing while also guiding users and washers through their processes, creating a seamless experience for both parties.

During the testing sessions, the animations and screens I developed were well-received and successful in enhancing the overall user experience. The optimized animations performed smoothly, and the user interface was intuitive and engaging. Although I left the project before the app launched, my contributions played a key role in shaping the design for a positive reception during testing, demonstrating the potential for efficiency and engagement in the final product.
